Ortona is a single-lamp E14 wall light with a backplate in matt antique brass effect and a shade in vintage white faux silk. 28.3 cm tall, projecting 23.4 cm from the wall. A switch on the fitting – appreciated after the fact Ortona has an on/off toggle switch built into the base. It is a detail that changes how the light gets used: no dedicated circuit with a wall switch is needed, and beside a bed or an armchair you turn it off by hand without getting up. In practice it also means the fitting can go on a permanently live circuit – the control is on the light itself. In a renovation without chasing walls, that often decides whether a light in that position is possible at all.
