Nordlux Oja 42 black LED ceiling light, 42.4 cm, 19 W, 3000/4000 K

Name: Nordlux Oja 42 black LED ceiling light, 42.4 cm, 19 W, 3000/4000 K
Brand: Nordlux

The black Nordlux Oja 42, article 2210626103, is a round LED ceiling light with a narrow border and a broad, pale diffuser. Both the housing and cover are plastic. When switched on, it also casts light behind the fitting, outlining its edge on the ceiling.A wide light surface without a pendant dropThe fitting measures 42.4 cm across and just 2.3 cm high. It stays close to the ceiling rather than occupying the space below it like a pendant. Before ordering, compare its diameter with the available area around your electrical outlet, particularly near ceiling mouldings or built-in furniture. The plain circular shape and black rim suit modern, minimalist and Scandinavian interiors. Oja can provide general lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining room, hallway or walk-in wardrobe. In a kitchen or study, use it for overall room light rather than as a substitute for directed illumination on a worktop or desk.Choose the colour temperature during installationA switch inside the fitting selects either 3000 K or 4000 K when the light is mounted. These settings give warm white or neutral white respectively. This is an installation setting, not a colour change operated by an ordinary wall switch. The fitting is not dimmable, so it is not the version to choose for a circuit that requires adjustable brightness. The integrated LEDs provide 2200 lm with a total fitting consumption of 19 W. A 120° beam angle gives a broad distribution rather than a narrow accent beam. Consider the room's dimensions and finishes when deciding how many fittings you need: the lumen figure alone does not guarantee sufficient light over a particular floor area.Included LEDs and fixed mains connectionNo separate bulbs are needed, but the included LED sources are non-replaceable. Nordlux specifies a 30,000-hour lifespan and replacement of the whole fitting once the light source reaches its end of life. Oja requires a fixed connection to a 220–240 V supply. The mounting instructions state that the two mounting screws are not included. This is the indoor IP20 version, not Oja IP54. Install it only where direct contact with water cannot occur. For dusting, the instructions recommend a soft, dry cloth without cleaning agents.Show more
