Mantra TONIC 7871 pendant drop, chrome, 1×GX53, without ceiling canopy

Name: Mantra TONIC 7871 pendant drop, chrome, 1×GX53, without ceiling canopy
Brand: Mantra

Mantra TONIC 7871 is a single pendant drop with a glass shade in a chrome finish. A long, slender stem ends in a small cylindrical shade, with a black cable continuing the vertical line above it. This version comes without a ceiling canopy, so it is a component to be completed with a suitable mounting base rather than a complete canopy-equipped pendant.Check the drop, not just the cableThe shade measures 9.8 cm in diameter, while the section below the cable is 43 cm tall. Mantra specifies an adjustable overall height of 43–200 cm and a cable length of 1.8 m. These are different measurements: the cable does not provide an extra 180 cm on top of the stated maximum overall height. Before choosing a position, compare the ceiling-to-surface distance with the intended lower edge of the shade. The narrow drop can be considered for a dining table, kitchen island or living-room side table. The number of pendants and their spacing need to suit the actual surface; a single unit has one light point, not several lamps concealed inside the shade.Plan for the lamp and mounting baseThe fitting takes one GX53 lamp rated at a maximum of 12 W. No lamp is included. Check the light colour and luminous output of the lamp you select rather than assuming that the pendant itself has a fixed colour temperature or brightness. Mantra lists this fitting as non-dimmable.The description “without base” refers to the missing ceiling canopy. A compatible mounting base must therefore be selected when completing the installation; the photograph of the drop alone does not show a full ceiling assembly. The documentation specifies electrical protection class I, which must be taken into account when connecting it.A small shade with a strong vertical lineThe cylindrical glass shade and extended stem support a modern, minimalist interior scheme. The reflective chrome finish distinguishes reference 7871 from the other TONIC colour variants. Its proportions suit a design that calls for a slender suspended line rather than the visual volume of a broad fabric lampshade.Show more
