to be used with VarioPrep HPLC columns with ID: 16 mm or ID: 21 mm - for all polar NUCLEODUR and NUCLEOSIL phases - to be connected with VP guard column holder 16 mm (short, REF: 718256) To protect your HPLC main column from contamination, the use of guard columns is recommended. These short columns are inserted into a guard column holder. The guard column holder in combination with an inserted guard column is mounted between the injector and the HPLC column. This installation prevents chemical contaminants from entering the main column. Contaminants could form an irreversible bond with the column packing material (stationary phase) and this can lead to a shorter lifetime of the main column. If you want to extend the lifetime of your main column, these guard columns can help you.Show more
