BRUNO is a LUMINES edge profile built into plasterboard. It is not surface-mounted and not recessed into the middle of a plane — it goes into the edge, at the junction of ceiling and wall, and once plastered it turns that junction into a narrow lit slot. This article is the white lacquered version, 2.02 m long. A shadow-gap effect The point of this profile is architectural: instead of a visible fitting on the ceiling, all that remains is a line of light washing down the wall. The wall-side edge of the profile is deliberately matched to the thickness of a plasterboard sheet, so once installed it forms a flat plane ready for filler and paint — that feature is what separates BRUNO from an ordinary recessed profile, and it decides how much finishing work is left to the installer. The manufacturer classifies BRUNO for decorative lighting, not general lighting. Dimensions and the strip The section is 39.6 mm tall and 35.6 mm wide including the wall flange; the light cavity itself is 19.6 mm deep and the visible slot measures 12.2 mm. The plasterboard flange is 13.4 mm. The profile takes one LED strip up to 10 mm wide — this is an accent profile, not a home for a double row of diodes. What this profile does not do BRUNO sections are not joined into longer runs with a connector — the manufacturer states plainly that they cannot be, so the length of a single element has to be chosen up front: 1 m, 2.02 m, 3 m, or a custom size up to 6 m. The profile is not sealable and stays at IP20, so dry interiors only. It is not rated to be driven over. The driver sits outside the profile. Finishes and accessories Besides white lacquered (10-1531-XX), BRUNO comes as black lacquered (10-1535-XX), silver anodised (10-1534-XX) and raw (10-1530-XX). It takes BASIC covers in transparent, frosted, milky, milky-frosted and black, plus the Fractal versions; end caps with a hole in ABS and aluminium; and, for the plastering stage, the BASIC plastering trim (14-2029-06/-07/-08).
