Name: Endon Louvre outdoor post light polished stainless steel IP44 65 cm YG-6002-SS
Brand: Endon

Endon Louvre YG-6002-SS is an outdoor post light made from polished stainless steel. Its cylindrical body ends in a domed cap and horizontal rings surrounding a clear polycarbonate shade. The silver appearance and regular arrangement of these elements give the fitting a modern character.A 65 cm post for the gardenThe post is 65 cm high and 15 cm in diameter. Compare these dimensions with the surroundings at the intended mounting position: the edge of the paving, nearby planting and the available space in front of the house. The manufacturer specifies front gardens and commercial properties, so the placement of several fittings should follow the actual layout of the grounds.Choose one E27 lamp separatelyThe fitting takes one E27 GLS lamp rated at no more than 60 W; the lamp is not included. The 60 W figure is the permitted lamp limit rather than a fixed power consumption for the post. A compatible LED lamp may be used, allowing its light colour and brightness to be coordinated with the rest of the garden lighting. The clear shade leaves the lamp visible behind the metal rings, so the appearance of the chosen bulb also matters. The fitting supports dimming, but this requires a lamp marked dimmable and a compatible control. Selecting an E27 cap alone does not establish that brightness can be adjusted.A fixed base, connection and careThe base must be secured to a solid, fixed surface such as concrete, paving slabs or decking. Suitable ground-fixing bolts need to be selected separately, as stated in the instructions. This is a mains-operated class I fitting requiring a protective earth connection PE; installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.IP44 provides protection against splashing water for the specified outdoor application. The instructions recommend keeping the stainless steel surface clean and removing deposits, including salt. They specify washing with warm water and soap or a mild detergent, followed by a clean-water rinse and drying, giving a practical care requirement to consider when choosing the post's position. Disconnect the mains supply before cleaning, and restore it only when the fitting is completely dry.Show more
