LED profile LUMINES type Gaudi black lacquered 1 m

Name: LED profile LUMINES type Gaudi black lacquered 1 m
Brand: Lumines

This black-lacquered LUMINES GAUDI aluminium profile holds one LED strip and is designed for recessing into plasterboard construction. The 1 m section has perforated mounting flanges that are concealed by joint compound. The finished surface shows the area for the light line rather than a broad strip fitted on top of the wall.Black finish with unpainted plastering surfacesVariant 10-0965-10 has a matt black RAL 9005 finish. The areas intended for joint compound are left unpainted. The silvery flanges visible in the product photograph therefore do not indicate a different colour variant: they are the parts that become concealed during finishing. The overall cross-section measures 41.8 mm wide and 14.6 mm high. Use the cross-section drawing when planning the opening and finishing layers. The overall width includes the mounting flanges on both sides and should not be mistaken for the width of the visible light slot.Installation as part of the plasterboard constructionGAUDI sits between plasterboard panels and is finished with joint compound. The manufacturer specifies fixing through the perforated flanges with screws or joint compound. Plan the profile while the wall or ceiling construction is being prepared, rather than treating it as a complete wall light to fit after decorating. Its straight line without a projecting frame suits modern and minimalist interiors. It can form part of general or decorative lighting within plasterboard in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and offices. The actual lighting result depends on the selected LED strip, however, not on the aluminium section itself.Selecting the strip and BASIC componentsThe GAUDI data sheet allows for one LED strip up to 12 mm wide and compatible BASIC covers. Covers within the system differ in material and finish, so select the particular version for the intended lighting effect and section length. Matching GAUDI end caps provide the system's end finishing. The profile does not establish colour temperature, light output or dimming capability. Check those properties when choosing the LED strip and its supply. The power supply is located outside the profile, so allow a separate space for it in the installation design.Show more
