NORLYS London 485BL Lantern Bollard Light, Black RAL 9005, 120 cm, E27

Name: NORLYS London 485BL Lantern Bollard Light, Black RAL 9005, 120 cm, E27
Brand: NORLYS

The London 485BL is a 120 cm NORLYS bollard light: a classic four-sided lantern with a pyramid roof, mounted on a slim post with a square foot. It is made of powder-coated cast aluminium in black (RAL 9005), and the lantern panes are clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate.Dimensions and installationThe bollard is 120 cm high and the lantern 20 cm wide — the same as the foot. Compare these dimensions with the free space at the edge of the path, bed, terrace steps or entrance where it is to stand. The post is bolted to the ground through two ø5.5 mm holes 90 mm apart. For setting it in soil the manufacturer offers a concrete anchor separately. The fitting weighs 3.6 kg net.Light sourceThe lantern has an E27 socket for a classic pear-shaped bulb (A55–A60); the manufacturer specifies an LED source of up to 9 W. The bulb is not included and the user replaces it. As an example the manufacturer gives an 806 lm / 2700 K LED bulb: the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in a warm colour that suits a classic lantern. The clear panes do not diffuse the light, so the bulb stays visible and the light spreads sideways.Durability and connectionThe IP54 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction, and impact resistance is IK07. The fitting is class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting, so several bollards along a path can run from one circuit. The cable should be round-sheathed, 7–10.5 mm in diameter, and an EPDM gland seals the cable entry. Damaged panes are available as a spare part. The manufacturer designed the bollard for gardens and terraces; its form follows the classic English street lantern. The London series also includes a shorter version of this lantern, the London 484 bollard.Show more
