Wall light Elstead Halston ALM-HALSTON-1WB-GD brushed gold opal glass E14 max 40W

Name: Wall light Elstead Halston ALM-HALSTON-1WB-GD brushed gold opal glass E14 max 40W
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Halston is a wall light by Alora Mood, imported by Elstead Lighting: a round backplate and arm in brushed gold steel carrying a conical cased opal glass shade that points downward. How much wall it takes The fitting is 22.2 cm high and 20.3 cm wide, and it projects 21.8 cm from the wall — about as far out as it is across. In a narrow hallway that projection is the figure to compare with the width of the passage. The round backplate is 11.5 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, so it covers a standard installation box. The light weighs 1.7 kg and is built to safety class I, which means a protective earth conductor is needed for the connection. It is intended for interiors only. What lamp it takes There is one E14 socket and no lamp in the box, so the colour and brightness of the light are yours to choose. The 40 W maximum is the fitting's thermal limit for one lamp, not the power it draws; an LED lamp of comparable brightness stays far below it. The manufacturer describes the fitting as compatible with dimmable lamps. Dimming therefore needs a lamp marked dimmable plus a dimmer in the wall box — the fitting has no control electronics of its own. Build and finish The body is steel and the shade is cased opal glass — opaque, evenly white, diffusing the light instead of showing the filament. The cone is open at the bottom, so the light falls in a concentrated pool downward rather than across the whole wall. Brushed gold is a matt finish with a visible directional grain and no mirror shine. Elstead gives a two-year guarantee on this fitting. It ships in a 56 × 29 × 40 cm carton weighing 2.8 kg.Show more
