Gea Luce GES171 outdoor wall light, aluminium grey, 2×GX53, IP54

Name: Gea Luce GES171 outdoor wall light, aluminium grey, 2×GX53, IP54
Brand: Gea Luce

Gea Luce GES171 is an outdoor wall light with a compact, rectangular aluminium housing. Its aluminium-grey finish is paired with clear glass over the light openings. Flat sides and defined edges give the fitting a modern, minimalist appearance without decorative arms or ornamental detailing. Two replaceable GX53 light sourcesThe fitting has two positions for GX53 lamps, each rated for a maximum of 9 W. The installation diagram places them on opposite sides of the internal assembly, with one facing upwards and the other downwards. Account for this arrangement when planning light on a wall, rather than treating GES171 as a single spotlight aimed only at the ground.Light colour and brightness depend on the lamps used. The fitting's model designation therefore does not specify one fixed colour temperature or lumen output. Check the base and permitted wattage for both lamps; matching their colour temperatures is useful when the upward and downward light should have the same tone. The maximum lamp wattage should not be read as a statement of the wall light's total brightness.Installation on an exterior wallThe manufacturer specifies outdoor wall installation and an IP54 protection rating. The fitting can be considered for a facade, terrace wall or balcony wall lighting scheme. Each position requires a wall and a prepared electrical connection; this is not a freestanding garden light to place beside a path. The supply specification is 220–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, with electrical protection class I. Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Switch off the mains supply before performing any work on the fitting.Caring for the grey housingThe instructions recommend a damp cloth and a neutral detergent diluted in warm water, followed by gentle drying with a soft, clean cloth. Keep water and detergent away from cables and electrical components. The box-like shape provides a visual counterpart to facades with plain surfaces and clearly defined architectural lines.Show more
