Gea Luce GES1171C surface-mounted LED step light, anthracite grey, 6 W 3000 K IP65

Name: Gea Luce GES1171C surface-mounted LED step light, anthracite grey, 6 W 3000 K IP65
Brand: Gea Luce

Gea Luce GES1171C is a surface-mounted step light for outdoor use, combining an anthracite-grey die-cast aluminium body with a polycarbonate diffuser. Its rectangular front has a broad dark upper band and an exposed lower section rather than decorative detailing. The straightforward geometry suits modern and minimalist walls alongside steps.Understanding the light before planning positionsThe integrated LED module operates at 6 W and provides 408 lm at a colour temperature of 3000 K. This is warm-white light. Gea Luce describes the distribution as indirect, with a beam angle of 78°. When planning lighting along steps or a passage, consider these figures together with the intended positions: the appearance of the front alone does not determine the number of fittings required. The LED module is included, so there is no separate screw-base bulb to select. Operation is on/off only, and this fitting is not dimmable. If variable brightness is part of the project, choose a different lighting solution rather than assuming this version can be used with a dimmer.A fitting mounted onto the wallThe installation instructions show the rear section being fixed to the mounting surface, followed by reassembly of the front components. This is a surface-mounted fitting, not a body recessed into the wall. Before ordering, compare the manufacturer's drawing with the available mounting area and the position of the supply cable. The supply is 220–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, and the fitting is protection class I. Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, following the instructions with the mains supply switched off. Its IP65 rating covers dust and water jets; it does not mean the fitting can be submerged.Cleaning the anthracite finishThe manufacturer recommends a damp cloth with mild detergent diluted in lukewarm water, then gentle drying with a soft, clean cloth. Water and detergent must not reach cables or electrical components. Keep the installation instructions for any later work on the light.Show more
