FLEUR is a classic lantern hung on a chain — a cast aluminium body in an antique bronze finish, with decorative scrolls wrapping the glass. The shape is frankly historicist, but the material is modern: aluminium does not rust, and Maytoni states corrosion and temperature-fluctuation resistance for the whole series. PULEGOSO glass The shade is not ordinary opal glass. The FLEUR series uses the decorative PULEGOSO technique, in which fine air bubbles are trapped in the body of the glass. A lit lamp shines through them point by point, so the light is not smooth but faintly sparkling — closer to old furnace glass than to a modern diffuser. Dimensions and suspension The lantern itself is 400 mm tall and 150 mm wide. It hangs from a 1000 mm chain fixed to a canopy 120 mm across and 32 mm deep. The chain can be shortened at installation to suit the height of a porch, a terrace roof or a gazebo. Net weight is 1.62 kg, gross 2.02 kg. Lamp and installation There is one E27 socket rated up to 60 W — you choose the lamp, and with PULEGOSO glass a warm LED filament looks best. The model is not dimmable. The AC 100–260 V range covers a standard 230 V installation. The luminaire is Class I, so the circuit needs a protective earth conductor. Operating conditions IP44 protects against water splashed from any direction — the level intended for covered or sheltered positions: a porch, a canopy, a terrace, a gazebo. The manufacturer quotes an operating range of −40 to +50 °C, so leaving it out over winter is no problem. The FLEUR series Besides this pendant the series includes wall lights O414WL-01BZ and O414WL-01GB, and a second pendant colourway, O414PL-01GB, in black with gold accents.
