Casa outdoor chain lantern - 3 light sources Elstead

Name: Casa outdoor chain lantern - 3 light sources Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Casa is an outdoor chain lantern by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting. A cylinder of clear seeded glass is enclosed by a cage with twisted uprights, topped and finished at the base with decorative S-shaped scrolls. Inside stand three candle-style lampholders. The whole fitting is finished in Olde Black, an aged black. How high to hang itThe lantern itself is 59.8 cm tall and 30.1 cm in diameter. It comes with 152.4 cm of chain, and the overall drop — from the ceiling to the bottom of the lantern — ranges from 66.2 to 215.7 cm depending on how many links you keep. That is the range to compare with the height of the ceiling over an entrance, a terrace or a gazebo. The fitting weighs 4.84 kg, so it needs a fixing point that will carry that weight.IP44 means protection against water splashing from any direction: the lantern can hang outdoors under a roof and in the rain. It is Class I and must be connected to the protective earth.Which bulbsThe three lampholders are E14 and take bulbs of up to 40 W each. No bulbs are included, so you need to buy three. The glass is clear and the bulbs stay visible; the manufacturer recommends clear E14 LED candles for this lantern to match the candle-style holders. The fitting works with dimmable lamps: to control brightness you need dimmable bulbs and a dimmer.StyleThe manufacturer describes Casa as a rustic lantern with a Spanish flair — a character carried by the twisted uprights, the wrought-look scrolls and the seeded glass. It is intended for outdoor use: on a terrace or balcony, in a gazebo, and in hotel and restaurant settings.Show more
