VASAGLE LLS107B01 Bookshelf with 14 Shelves Metal Frame 158 cm

Name: VASAGLE LLS107B01 Bookshelf with 14 Shelves Metal Frame 158 cm
Brand: Vasagle & Songmics

VASAGLE LLS107B01 is an open shelving unit built from three bays on one black steel frame: two wider bays at the sides and a narrower one in the middle, braced with a cross at the back. Fourteen chipboard shelves in a rustic brown finish sit at different heights, so the shelf line does not run level across the full width. How big it is and where it goes The unit is 158 cm wide and 166 cm tall, so it ends roughly at an adult's eye level and the top shelf is reachable without a step. On a two-metre wall about 20 cm is left on each side. The depth is only 24 cm, less than an ordinary cabinet. Allowing 80 cm of clear passage beside furniture, you need to reserve a little over a metre from the wall — so this unit still fits where a normal cupboard would block the walkway. What it holds and what it carries The manufacturer states 10 kg of permitted load per level. That is the limit for a single shelf, not for the whole unit, so rows of books and heavier objects are spread across the levels rather than stacked in one place. Some of the shelves have back panels that stop items pushed too far in; the rest are open on both sides and leave the wall visible. The clear heights between levels differ, so something taller — a vase or a plant — fits next to a row of books without rearranging the rest. Assembly and fixing to the wall The unit arrives flat, in parts to be bolted together. The parts are labelled, and the fixing pack and the instructions are in the box. The feet adjust, which is how you level the unit on an uneven floor. An anti-tip fitting is also included and the manufacturer requires the unit to be screwed to the wall: at 166 cm tall and 24 cm deep the footprint is narrow. For the same reason VASAGLE states that children must not climb on it.Show more
