Name: Quintiesse Alford Place outdoor pedestal lantern 2 × E14, Museum Black, 51.4 cm
Brand: Quintiesse

Quintiesse Alford Place is an outdoor pedestal lantern with two E14 lampholders. Its Museum Black aluminium frame surrounds clear glass sides and a glazed roof. A short moulded base, tapering lantern body and small top loop give this version a distinctly traditional outline without a tall supporting post.Check the pedestal and the overall heightThe fitting measures 51.4 cm high, with a manufacturer-stated diameter of 25.4 cm. These dimensions describe the lantern itself, not the pedestal beneath it. When deciding where to install it, consider the combined height of the fitting and its supporting surface, as well as the space beside any nearby walkway. The open-looking glazed body makes both candle-shaped lamps visible, while the black framework defines the sides and roof. This classic form suits a planned mounting position at a fence, driveway or terrace where a suitable support and electrical connection are available. It is not the tall lamp-post version of the Alford Place family.Choose two lamps separatelyTwo E14 candle lamps are required, each rated at no more than 40 W, or suitable LED equivalents. Bulbs are not included. There is no integrated LED module, so the colour temperature and brightness are determined by the lamps you select rather than fixed by the lantern.Clear glazing also leaves the shape of the chosen bulbs on view. The manufacturer confirms compatibility with dimmable lamps; a dimming installation therefore needs suitable lamps and compatible controls, rather than an assumed dimmer inside the fitting.Outdoor installation and the coastal warranty limitIP44 protection and the manufacturer's exterior-use designation allow installation in uncovered outdoor locations. This is a 220–240 V mains fitting in electrical Class I, requiring a protective-earth connection. Its three-year anti-corrosion guarantee excludes locations within five miles of the coastline, an important restriction to check when specifying lighting for a coastal property.Show more
