Whatman Grade GF/F glass fiber filter is equivalent to Schleicher & Schuell GF55 and Munktell MGF Features: These high performance filters retain fine particles of up to 0.7 mm. Unlike membrane filters with a comparable retention value, these have a very fast flow rate and extremely high loading capacities. Recommended for DNA binding and purification as the GF/F filter is very effective at filtering finely precipitated proteins. It can be used in conjunction with the GF/D filter as a pre-filter for the successful clarification of extremely "difficult" biochemical solutions and liquids as well as nucleic acids.
