The Sol 4055BL is a surface-mounted ceiling luminaire for outdoor use: a black cylinder of painted aluminium 20 cm across, standing 11 cm off the ceiling. A transparent polycarbonate cover, recessed into the housing, closes it from below. How it mounts The luminaire fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 100 mm apart — check that spacing before drilling into a finished soffit or terrace ceiling. A silicone gasket and an EPDM gland close the housing where it meets the surface and the cable. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², and looping further luminaires through in a chain up to 1.5 mm²; the gland handles round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. The luminaire is protection class I, so it needs a supply with an earth conductor. It weighs 2.42 kg. How much light it gives and of what kind 2101 lm leave the luminaire for 19.1 W drawn, which is 110 lm/W. That is roughly two and a half times the old 60 W bulb — enough to light a terrace or a carport rather than only mark an entrance. 3000 K is warm white, and Ra 80 renders colours as faithfully as outdoor use asks for. The light is symmetric and aimed downwards; 0.3% of the flux escapes upwards, so the luminaire lifts neither the sky nor the wall above it. The LED module is built in permanently and is not replaced. Resistance and control IP65 means full protection against dust and water jets, IK10 against high-energy impact. The manufacturer states operation from −20 to +45 °C, so the luminaire is rated for frost as well. Control is to the DALI2 standard, so dimming needs a DALI controller — an ordinary phase dimmer will not work. Colour consistency of SDCM3 is tight enough that several luminaires mounted in one run burn at the same shade of white.Mostra di più
