TEKKNI+ HELSE+ is a surface-mounted LED profile in raw aluminium, sold as a 1 m length. Its U-shaped section is 16.0 mm wide and 15.7 mm high. The raw version has no anodised layer and no lacquer; within the same system the manufacturer also offers the profile in black anodised, silver anodised and white lacquered.Which LED strip fits the profileThe inner channel is 14.2 mm wide. The manufacturer does not state a maximum strip width, so measure your strip including its adhesive backing before buying and compare it with this figure. Light leaves at right angles to the mounting surface: stuck under a shelf, the profile shines downwards; on a wall, it shines straight out.The driver is mounted outside the profile, so plan a separate place for it. The manufacturer does not provide for joining lengths and the system has no connectors, so a longer line of light is better bought as a 2.02 m or 3 m length than assembled from several 1 m pieces.What is included and what to buy separatelyThis item is the profile alone. The cover, end caps and clips are separate articles in the HELSE+ system. It takes the S14+ cover, 14.1 × 4.3 mm in section, made of PMMA or PVC and available as transparent, frosted or milky. The more matt the cover, the less the individual LEDs on the strip show, but the less light gets through.The end caps are plastic with a knock-out cable opening and come in black, white and grey. The profile is fixed with double-sided tape or with HELSE metal clips (13-0520-02) screwed to the surface. A clip is 18.0 mm wide, so when mounting on a narrow edge it is the clip, not the profile, that sets the space you need.Where it fitsThe manufacturer designs HELSE+ for decorative lighting in furniture and interior finishing, in homes as well as offices.
