The Zambelis 2098-B side end cap closes the end face of a profile, covering its interior and the end of the LED strip. It measures 5.2 cm high and 2.6 cm wide, is black, and is made of plastic.A finishing part, not an ornamentEnd caps get treated as a trifle, yet they are exactly what decides how the end of a line of light looks. Without them you see the open profile section, the edge of the strip and the wiring, and dust gets inside. This cap carries two locating pins on its underside that engage the profile channel and hold it in place without glue.The version with a cable entryThe cap has a knock-out for the supply cable, so it goes on the end of the profile the cable leaves from. The other end is normally closed with the solid version. When ordering it is worth counting both ends separately — every length of profile needs two caps.Operating conditionsThe manufacturer quotes an operating range of −35 to +50 °C, considerably wider than an ordinary interior demands — the lower end covers unheated rooms and covered outdoor spaces. IP20 does mean, however, that the part itself is not sealed: it protects against contact, not against water.
