Syringe filter with multiple layers of Sartobind membrane adsorber modified with IDA for rapid purification of His-tagged proteins. Binding capacity of 7.5 mg protein per unit. Use with a peristaltic pump. Sartobind® membrane adsorbers (MA) for affinity chromatography by metal chelate interaction are ready-to-connect units of the syringe filter type. They contain the patented Sartobind® membrane with a microporous structure with a pore size of 0.45 µm. Iminodiacetic acid (IDA) as a chelating functional group is covalently bound to the entire inner surface of the membrane, resulting in a separation medium with high binding capacity and very high flux rates. The binding of metal ions like Ni2+ or Co2+ is very stable and allows many cycles of use without loss of binding capacity. Sartobind® MA IDA units for affinity chromatography are available with a membrane area of 75 cm², corresponding to a static binding capacity of up to 7.5 mg His-tagged proteins per unit.
