BERYL 2 is a horizontal bar 52 cm wide hung on two thin wires, with two dome-shaped metal shades of 15 cm diameter beneath it. The whole is powder-coated matt white — an even surface that does not throw the pinpoint reflections a gloss finish gives.Mind the lamp wattageThe maker permits two E27 lamps of at most 15 W in LED — one per shade. The limit follows from the construction: the metal dome is closed at the top and does not shed heat the way an open or glass shade does. Fitting a stronger source (an incandescent one especially) will overheat the holder and shorten the diodes' life. Bulbs are not included.How much light that really isTwo E27 LED lamps of 12–15 W give roughly 2400–3000 lm together. That is enough over a dining table or a kitchen island, but not enough as the only general light in a larger living room.
