It throws light two ways — up and down The GES2214 is an outdoor wall light with double emission (biemissione): glass strips set into the top and bottom edges of the housing release light onto the wall above the fitting and below it at the same time. Instead of one pool you get two symmetrical washes that model the plane of the façade — that effect is what the building looks like after dark, and the main reason to choose this over a plain spotlight. You set the colour temperature before mounting The 2 × 10 W LED module is included, and one of three colour temperatures can be selected before the fitting is finally installed. Each setting has its own output: 1660 lm at 3000 K, 1900 lm at 4000 K and 1860 lm at 5000 K — so the brightest setting is the neutral one, not the coolest. Warm 3000 K suits timber and brick, 4000 K suits render and concrete, 5000 K works where legibility matters, at a driveway for instance. Colour rendering is above CRI 80, and the 133° spread gives broad, soft washes rather than a narrow beam. Die-cast aluminium and glass The body is die-cast aluminium and the diffuser is transparent glass, not polycarbonate. Outdoors that difference matters: glass does not yellow under UV, so after several seasons the fitting still emits the colour it did on day one. IP65 sealing keeps out dust and water jets, and the module's rated life is 25,000 hours. Size and variants The fitting is 26 cm wide and 9 cm tall and projects just 3.8 cm from the wall, so it does not foul a narrow passage or an opening shutter. The same housing comes in matt white (GES2213) and brown (GES2215). There is also a smaller 2 × 5 W version measuring 17.5 × 9 × 3 cm — codes GES2210, GES2211 and GES2212.
