COLLAR P069PL-L17CH3K is a vertical run of glass spheres threaded onto a chrome cable: a clear ribbed sphere, a matt sphere of blown glass, a small clear bead and a large smoked sphere stamped with a geometric pattern. The largest element measures 14.7 cm across; the glass assembly as a whole is 45 cm tall.Three kinds of glass in one fittingMaytoni uses three different glasses across the Collar collection, and they are what the luminaire is made of: cast glass with vertical ribbing breaks the light into narrow streaks, matt blown glass gives a soft, even glow, and tinted stamped glass with a geometric relief dims and scatters it. Every sphere therefore lights differently, even though a single source lights them all.The light runs through the centreInside, running the length of the fitting, is an LED strip enclosed in an acrylic diffuser. There is no bulb in each sphere — there is one unseen run of diodes lighting the glass from within. That is where the effect people buy this lamp for comes from: the spheres glow, not a point.How much light this actually isThe fitting draws 17 W and delivers 950 lumens at 3000 K, spread all the way round (360°). This is a decorative light: 950 lm distributed over a full sphere and passed through matt and tinted glass produce atmosphere, not working brightness. The G energy class follows from that — in a fitting built this way some of the light stays in the glass, which is the price of the look rather than a fault of the diodes. Reading or working will want a separate source. Colour rendering is CRI 80.Height adjustment and groupingThe cable can be shortened, so the overall height varies between 59 and 169 cm — from a drop tucked under the ceiling to the full, nearly two-metre vertical composition. The manufacturer designed the series for combining several fittings at different heights; Collar comes in three pendant sizes plus a matching table lamp, so a stairwell, a tall living room or a void can carry a whole group of them.Installation and practical dataThe canopy is ø12 cm and 4 cm high, installation is hard-wired to a ceiling box, supply 50 Hz AC 220–240 V. The luminaire is protection class I — the earth conductor must be connected. IP20 confines it to dry interiors.
