End caps come left and right — this is the right one That is the first thing to check before ordering. The LUMINES V profile is not symmetrical, so its end caps exist in a left and a right version, which Lumines lists under separate catalogue numbers. This product is the right-hand cap (R), code 12-1442-10; its mirror is 12-1452-10. Closing both ends of one length of profile takes both. The with-hole version — for the supply lead Lumines makes the caps in three forms: without a hole, with a hole for the power cord, and with the hole only scored, to be broken out. This is the with-hole version: the cable from the LED strip to the driver passes through the cap, so the lead exits cleanly on the profile's axis rather than from under the cover. In practice one end of a run is closed with the drilled cap and the other with a solid one. Lacquered aluminium, not plastic Lumines makes these caps in two materials: ABS (plastic) and ALU (aluminium). This is the aluminium version, lacquered black. The difference is both visible and tangible: aluminium carries the same texture and sheen as the profile itself, so the cap merges into the fitting, whereas plastic always reads as a slightly different tone. Aluminium caps come in silver, white and black; the ABS versions additionally in grey and inox. Push-fit, no screws Installation is a matter of pressing the cap into the end of the profile — no screws, no adhesive, the part is held by friction in the groove. It can be taken off and refitted when servicing the strip. The edge is rounded, so a finished profile has no sharp corner at hand height. For the V profile The cap fits the LUMINES V profile only — a recessed profile, set into a routed groove in furniture or a panel. The brand's other profiles (A, B, C, D, G, H, J, W, ONI, IVO, SEI, AGO) need caps with their own numbers; the sections differ and the caps are not interchangeable.
