Nordlux Uma 18 pendant light – amber glass, Ø18 cm, E27

Name: Nordlux Uma 18 pendant light – amber glass, Ø18 cm, E27
Brand: Nordlux

Nordlux Uma 18 is a pendant light with an oval, mouth-blown glass shade. Amber colouring at the top gradually fades into a clear lower section, leaving the bulb visible through the glass. Gold-coloured metal details and a twisted textile-covered cable complete the suspended outline, including when the light is switched off.Plan around the shade and suspension separatelyThe shade is 18 cm in diameter, while the light itself is 30.5 cm high. That height is not the overall drop including the cable. The separately specified cable length is 200 cm, and the ceiling canopy measures 12 cm across. Compare the canopy size with the existing ceiling connection as well as checking the space available for the glass.A single pendant can mark out a small table; several separate fittings can repeat the same shape along a dining table or kitchen island. The shade diameter helps when planning their spacing, but does not establish the area illuminated by one bulb. Its rounded profile, graduated glass colour and restrained metal detailing suit modern and minimalist living, dining or bedroom arrangements.Choose the bulb for its appearance as well as its lightOne E27 socket takes a replaceable bulb rated at no more than 40 W. The bulb is not included. Because it remains visible, its outline and the appearance of its filament or LEDs contribute to the finished fitting. Consider how it looks unlit as well as selecting the brightness you need.Colour temperature and light output depend on the chosen bulb; the amber finish does not specify either value. Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and compatible control equipment. Having an E27 base does not make every suitable bulb dimmable.Care for the mouth-blown glassNordlux notes that hand-forming can produce air bubbles and variations in glass thickness. Use a soft, dry cloth for dusting. For marks, use a well-wrung cloth with mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cleaners and solvents. Let the glass cool before cleaning and allow the fitting to dry completely before switching it on again.Show more
