This V-TAC set includes 4 solar ground-spike lights shaped like a flickering flame, in a black plastic housing. Each light stands 50 cm tall and is built from three parts: a plastic ground spike, a support tube and a head carrying the solar panel and LED.Assembly and sizeEach of the four lights is a three-piece stake: a plastic spike pushed into the soil, a support tube that connects it to the light head, and the head itself, which holds the solar panel, the LED and the ON/OFF switch. One light measures 50 cm in height with a 7.5 × 7.5 cm footprint — that is the space it needs in a flower bed or on a lawn. The full set of four sticks together weighs 0.61 kg.Light and powerThe integrated LED gives a warm 2200 K light, close to the flicker of a candle flame, and draws 1 W. The light source is built into the head and cannot be replaced separately — once it reaches the end of its life, the whole head needs replacing. The IP44 rating means the lights can stay outdoors and handle rain and splashing water, but they are not made for submersion.Charging and the dusk sensorThe solar panel charges a 1.2 V 2/3 AAA Ni-MH battery during the day, and a built-in dusk sensor switches the light on automatically after sunset and off at dawn. A full day of sun gives 6 to 8 hours of light at night; that runtime shortens on cloudy days or in winter. V-TAC recommends placing the lights where they get full sun and away from other light sources such as streetlights, since their glow can keep the sensor from switching the solar light on.Show more
