Sag Harbor Small Wall Lantern - 1 Light - Burnished Bronze Elstead

Name: Sag Harbor Small Wall Lantern - 1 Light - Burnished Bronze Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The small Sag Harbor is a wall lantern by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting. Its slim, multi-sided aluminium body has clear glass panels, and at the top a curved hood ends in a loop that looks like a carrying handle. The Painted Burnished Bronze finish is a warm, mid-dark bronze with lighter worn highlights along the edges. Size and where it fits The lantern is 41.3 cm high and 14 cm wide, and it projects 19 cm from the wall. With these proportions it takes a narrow but tall strip of wall — compare 41.3 cm with the space between the top of the door frame and the eaves if you want to hang it above door height. It weighs 2.8 kg, or 3.46 kg boxed. Where there is no flat wall beside the entrance, the manufacturer offers an optional corner bracket: C-BKT2-BROWN or C-BKT2-BLACK. Weather resistance and installation Hinkley designs the lantern for outdoor use and rates it IP44, meaning protection against splashing water from any direction — it can hang on the facade by the door even without a porch roof. The fitting is Class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. Supply voltage is 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Light source Inside is one E27 socket for a bulb of up to 60 W; no bulb is supplied. The glass is clear, so light spreads sideways without diffusion and the bulb stays in full view — the shape of the bulb, for example a decorative one with a visible filament, decides how the lantern looks in the evening. For an entrance, warm 2700–3000 K is the usual choice. The manufacturer rates the fitting as compatible with dimmable lamps: dimming needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch in the circuit. Versions The same small lantern is available in a black finish, and the Sag Harbor family also includes a larger two-light wall lantern.Show more
