NORLYS Stockholm 286GA outdoor wall light, hot-dip galvanised, clear diffuser, E27, IP54

Name: NORLYS Stockholm 286GA outdoor wall light, hot-dip galvanised, clear diffuser, E27, IP54
Brand: NORLYS

Stockholm 286GA is a Scandinavian-style outdoor wall light: a horizontal arm runs from a round wall plate to a vertical tube carrying a clear cylindrical diffuser in a steel cage with horizontal rings, topped by a wide, flat hood. The whole fitting is hot-dip galvanised steel, so it has the silvery grey colour of zinc. Size and where to mount it The light is 38 cm tall and the hood is 38.6 cm across – that is the clear wall space it needs between a door, a window and a downpipe. It weighs 3.58 kg, so it should be fixed into load-bearing masonry or solid cladding. Norlys also intends it for building corners, using the corner bracket 153, sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and the cable gland a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It suits a front entrance and a house facade, a garden, and equally the facade of a hotel or restaurant. Which bulb to choose Inside is an E27 socket for an A55–A60 bulb, LED up to 9 W. No bulb is included. An LED bulb of about 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W bulb, and 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light that keeps a facade from looking cold. The PMMA diffuser is clear and does not spread the light, so the bulb stays plainly visible. The shape and finish of the bulb become part of the look here – it is worth choosing one that also looks good by day. Build and weather resistance Hot-dip galvanising is a zinc layer applied by dipping the steel in molten metal. It protects against corrosion and weathers to an even matt grey, so the light never needs painting. A silicone gasket seals the diffuser and the cable enters through an EPDM gland. IP54 means protection against dust deposits and splashing water from any direction, so the light can hang on an exposed wall. Protection class II stands for double insulation – no earth conductor is needed. A damaged diffuser and the gasket can be ordered as spare parts 06281002 and 08281001.Show more
