Nordlux DFTP Nori 18 black pendant light, E27, 18 cm

Name: Nordlux DFTP Nori 18 black pendant light, E27, 18 cm
Brand: Nordlux

Nori 18 is a black pendant with a metal shade that narrows towards an oiled walnut top. The exposed wooden section makes a distinct transition between the dark shade and its black cable. Designed by Bjørn + Balle for Nordlux's Design For The People collection, this is the black 2120803003 variant.A compact shade, alone or in a groupThe shade is 18 cm across and 26.5 cm high. Compare that footprint with your table or kitchen island before deciding between one pendant and a row of separate fittings. Nordlux also presents the Nori family as suitable for groups combining different sizes. The measurements on this page refer specifically to Nori 18, not to the larger members of the range. Its opaque metal shade has an open underside. That makes it worth considering over a selected surface rather than assuming that one fitting will light an entire living room evenly. The chosen bulb and hanging position also affect the result. A smaller diameter can be useful when planning several pendants without treating them as one large central shade.Choose the bulb as part of the installationThere is one E27 socket, and no bulb is included. The 40 W figure is the maximum permitted bulb wattage, not a fixed power consumption for the pendant. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you buy separately. Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and compatible control equipment; it is not an automatic feature of every E27 bulb.Walnut detail and a textile cableThe black textile-surfaced cable is 300 cm long and is specified as non-replaceable. Nordlux also states that the fitting is not suitable for hook suspension. Check the mounting arrangement before installation rather than assuming a ceiling hook is sufficient. Cable length should not be confused with an in-use height-adjustment mechanism. The rounded outline and restrained wooden accent suit Scandinavian, minimalist and Japandi interiors. Consider it over a dining table, along an island or in a selected living-room or bedroom area. This is an indoor fitting.Show more
