A cylinder that pushes the light past the soffit edge The NIDAROS 2125 is an outdoor surface-mounted fitting shaped as a cylinder 12 cm across and 23 cm tall. It is the tallest of the family's three variants — the others measure 9 and 18 cm. Height is not a styling detail here: the longer the body, the deeper the reflector sits, the less light escapes sideways and the less the fitting glares at whoever stands beneath it. Under a soffit, on a terrace or above a door, that means a visible pool of light on the paving rather than a bright point in your eyeline. IP65 — full protection, jets of water included IP65 means dust-tight and protected against jets of water from any direction, not merely against drips or splashes. In practice: the fitting can sit on a completely exposed canopy ceiling, take driving rain, and survive the façade being washed down with pressurised water. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in white RAL 9003, and Norlys backs the coating with a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty — the figure that decides how an outdoor fitting looks after a decade more than anything else does. 825 lumens, 4000 K, dimmable The built-in LED module draws 8.5 W and 825 lm leave the fitting (the source itself gives 1051 lm) at a neutral 4000 K. Loop-in wiring — it matters with several fittings The terminals take up to 3 × 2.5 mm², which allows looping further fittings through with conductors up to 1.5 mm² and no junction box between them. That is the arrangement for a run of fittings along a soffit or terrace: one conductor arrives, the second carries on to the next. The cable should be round, 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting itself is fixed through two holes, per the manufacturer's instructions. Protection class I — an earth connection is required.
