Nash pendant lamp - 1 light source - Classic brass Elstead

Name: Nash pendant lamp - 1 light source - Classic brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Nash is a pendant light with a bell-shaped ceramic shade in off-white, with hand-painted stripes and a dark band at the lower rim. The shade hangs on a chain whose upper section is wrapped in thick jute rope, and the metal parts are finished in Heritage Brass. The design comes from the American brand Hinkley and is distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. Size and hanging height The shade is 25.4 cm in diameter and the fitting itself is 55.5 cm tall. The chain is 152.4 cm long and the overall drop can be set anywhere from 69.9 to 226.5 cm, so the pendant can be matched to both low and high rooms. Above a table, the bottom of the shade usually hangs 70–80 cm over the top: subtract the table height (about 75 cm) and that gap from the room height to get the drop you need. The fitting weighs 2.8 kg. Bulb and light The pendant has a single E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W. No bulb is supplied. The distributor recommends the clear Litec E27 A60 LED bulb, rated 8 W, 800 lm and 3000 K — the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in warm white. Ceramic does not let light through, so the shade directs it downwards onto the surface below while the shade itself stays unlit. The fitting can be dimmed when the bulb is marked as dimmable and a suitable dimmer is used. It is protection class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor, and it is intended for indoor use. Style and construction The manufacturer describes Nash as coastal-inspired: a thrown ceramic shade with painted stripes, raw jute and warm brass combine a classic form with the seaside feel of Hampton-style interiors. It is intended for the dining room. The same range also includes an Antique Nickel version.Show more
