Moss 6167CG is a NORLYS garden spotlight mounted on a ground spike. The body is a powder-coated aluminium casting in grey, and the front is closed with clear safety glass. The 85 mm head sits in a bracket with vertical adjustment, so the beam is aimed after the spike has been pushed into the ground. Size and mounting The spike is part of the fitting: the whole thing measures 27 cm, of which 10.8 cm stays above ground. At 0.56 kg the spotlight holds without a foundation and without anchoring — it suits a flower bed, a lawn and any ground the spike can be driven into. Every other mounting accessory is sold separately by the manufacturer. A three-core H05RN-F 3G1 cable 3 m long leaves the fitting and is meant to be terminated in a junction box — box 145ZX0009 is not included. The third core is the protective earth: the luminaire is protection class I and has to be earthed, and it runs on 230 V, so the connection is an electrician's job. How much light it gives The spotlight draws 8.4 W and puts out 687 lm in a symmetrical 36° beam. That is close to the light of an old 60 W bulb, concentrated on a single object — a tree trunk, a shrub, a section of wall or façade — instead of spread across the garden. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough for greenery and brickwork to keep a natural tone. The source is an integrated LED module, so there is no lamp holder and no bulb to buy; the manufacturer reserves module replacement for its own service and quotes 59,000 hours to the L70 criterion. The light can be dimmed with a TRIAC phase dimmer — trailing edge as well as leading edge — but the dimmer itself has to be bought separately. Working outdoors IP65 means full dust protection and resistance to water jets from any direction, so rain and garden watering make no difference to how the fitting runs. The IK06 impact rating covers an accidental knock, a kick while mowing for instance, not drive-over loads. The manufacturer specifies operation between -20 and +45 °C.Show more
