Use with VarioPrep HPLC Columns with ID 32 oder 40 mm - To connect with VP Guard Cartridge Holder 32 mm (short, Art.-Nr. 718253) To protect your main HPLC column from contamination, the use of guard columns is recommended. These short columns are inserted into a guard column holder. The guard column holder in combination with an inserted guard column is mounted between the injector and the HPLC column. This installation prevents chemical contaminants from entering the main column. This is because contamination could form an irreversible bond with the column packing material (stationary phase) and this can lead to a shorter service life of the main column.
