This is a cover for the glass globe of the s.luce Orb series — a white, round part that sits on top of the globe and closes the opening around the lampholder. The fitting then shows neither holder nor cable from above, and reads from the side as a complete sphere. What is in the box This is an accessory, not a luminaire. Only the cover is supplied — the glass globe, lampholder, cable and bulb in the photographs belong to an Orb-series fitting and are bought separately. The cover does not change how the lamp shines; it hides only the upper area where the holder sits. Choosing the size and fitting it The manufacturer lists the cover in four sizes — 20, 30, 40 and 50 cm — and in two colours, white and black. This version is white at Ø 20 cm, so check the size of your Orb globe before ordering and match the cover to it. Fitting takes no tools: the cover is placed onto the globe from above. The manufacturer states that the part is made by hand, so small differences between pieces are normal.Show more
