Maytoni Hoop black GX53 ceiling light C086CL-GX53-SRD-B

Name: Maytoni Hoop black GX53 ceiling light C086CL-GX53-SRD-B
Brand: Maytoni

Maytoni Hoop C086CL-GX53-SRD-B is a black surface-mounted ceiling light with a compact cylindrical body. Its aluminium and plastic housing surrounds the circular light-source face, with a lower ring forming a distinct border. This version has one GX53 socket rather than a permanently integrated LED module.A shallow fitting close to the ceilingThe body measures 5 cm high and 8.5 cm in diameter. There is no hanging cable, so the housing stays close to the ceiling. Before choosing its position, compare those dimensions with the available ceiling area and the location of the electrical supply point. The small housing does not, by itself, establish how much floor area your chosen light source will illuminate.Hoop can provide a small ceiling-light point in an entrance hall, corridor or dressing area, or form part of the lighting in a living room, bedroom, kitchen or dining room. In a larger space, the number and spacing of fittings need to reflect the required light level. The fitting's diameter is not a basis for assuming that a single unit will adequately light an entire room.Choosing a GX53 light sourceSelect a compatible GX53 light source rated at no more than 12 W. This is the permitted source wattage, not a statement of lumen output. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the light source you use. Compare its lumen rating and colour temperature rather than choosing on wattage alone. The manufacturer identifies this fitting as non-dimmable. Do not specify it on the assumption that a dimmer will provide brightness control. A replaceable source still lets you choose the light characteristics separately from the housing. Any later replacement must retain the GX53 base and remain within the 12 W limit.A simple black architectural detailThe smooth cylinder and absence of decorative arms support modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. Hoop does not occupy the space of a suspended shade, but remains a visible dark detail on the ceiling. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty for this fitting.Show more
