GLAXI in its five-light version is five glass shades in different colours hung from a single black bar 65 cm long. The shades are clear, yellow, brown and grey — the set is deliberately mismatched, and the black bar pulls it together visually. A lamp for a long table Five points spread along the bar light not only the middle of the top but its ends too — the difference from a single pendant, which leaves the far ends of a longer table darker. A 65 cm bar suits a table for six to eight and a narrow kitchen island. The coloured shades organise the whole length of the table visually, marking out a dining zone in an open-plan living space. Adjustable drop The height is adjustable, with a total drop reaching 200 cm. Over a table the lower edges of the shades usually sit 70–80 cm above the top; higher and the lamp stops defining the zone, lower and it starts blocking the person opposite.
