CLYDE is a compact Nordlux pendant built around a single element: a black metal cylinder 8.5 cm across, suspended on a slim textile-covered cable. The LED module is built in at the factory, rated 4 W and 350 lm at a warm 2700 K, so the fitting works straight after wiring and no bulb needs to be chosen. Moodmaker: three light settings from an ordinary wall switch Clyde needs neither a dimmer nor a remote. The LED panel is split into a central section and an outer ring, and successive clicks of the wall switch step the fitting through the cycle: full output, centre only, ring only, off. Full output gives 350 lm over a table or worktop, the centre setting throws a narrower and more concentrated pool of light, and the ring alone works as gentle mood lighting. The setting is remembered: leave the lamp switched off for more than 5 seconds and it returns to the mode you last used. Only a quick flick of the switch moves it on to the next step. With 2700 K light and the option of dropping down to the ring alone, one lamp covers both dinner at the table and the quieter light wanted later in the evening. Installation and use The pendant is wired permanently into a ceiling outlet. It is not designed to be hung from a hook, and the supply cable cannot be replaced. Each fitting needs its own supply, since this model is not intended to be looped from one cable to the next. That is worth planning for in advance if a row of pendants is to run above a table.
