Quintiesse Atwater small outdoor wall lantern – painted distressed brass

Name: Quintiesse Atwater small outdoor wall lantern – painted distressed brass
Brand: Quintiesse

The small Quintiesse Atwater outdoor wall lantern combines a rectangular frame in painted distressed brass with a pitched cap and a dark handle. Inside the frame, a clear cylindrical shade has visible bubbles in the glass, keeping the bulb itself part of the design.Check the space beside your doorwayAtwater measures 355 mm high and 165 mm wide, with a projection of 176 mm from the wall. Compare that footprint with the available wall area, adjacent door frame and the swing of an opening door before choosing its position. The handle contributes to the traditional lantern silhouette; this is a fixed, mains-powered wall fitting rather than a portable garden lantern. Its mounting and exterior rating suit outside walls at a terrace, balcony or entrance. The straight frame gives the lantern a defined outline, while the distressed finish and seeded glass support classic, rustic and vintage schemes. Because the bulb remains visible through the glass, its shape matters even when the light is switched off.A replaceable E27 bulb, supplied separatelyThe single E27 socket accepts a bulb up to 60 W or a suitable LED equivalent. No bulb is included. The manufacturer recommends a decorative Edison-style lamp, but the warm light in the photographs is not a fixed specification. Choose the bulb's brightness and colour temperature to match the lighting you need. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps. If dimming is planned, the bulb and control need to be compatible; the lantern itself is not a built-in dimmer. It operates on 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains power and is Class I, requiring the appropriate protective-earth connection.Brass appearance, composite constructionThe body is EPMM, a plastic and stone composite, rather than solid brass. Its painted finish gives the aged brass appearance. The manufacturer specifies suitability for coastal locations and a five-year anti-corrosion guarantee. IP44 provides protection against splashing water, not immersion or strong water jets. Corrosion resistance and ingress protection are separate properties, so one should not be taken as extending the other.Show more
