Agilent Technologies HPLC Column Microsorb-MV 100-5 C, 100Å, 5 μm, 4.6 x 150 mm

Microsorb C8 columns separate samples by the same hydrophobic interaction mechanism as C18 columns, but with slightly lower retention. If a sample is too hydrophobic or, conversely, too polar to achieve a good chromatographic result on a C18 column, a C8 column may give better results. Samples such as vitamins, antibiotics and basic drugs generally show better peak symmetry when separated on C8 columns than on C18 columns. This Microsorb column has the inner diameter 4.6 mm, the length 150 mm and the particle size 5.0 µm. The Microsorb MV columns are packed with the same high quality packing material as the regular Microsorb columns and have the same performance. The difference is that MV columns are tested in batches rather than individually, resulting in significant cost savings. Microsorb MV columns are useful when budget is limited or when columns degrade prematurely due to sample matrix or other effects.Show moreShow less
