PLASTRA Cube is a wall light cast from plaster – a cube 11.5 cm on each side, sitting flat against the wall across its whole back face. Light leaves through the top and the bottom, so two symmetrical cones appear on the wall while the body itself stays matt and unlit. This is a fitting meant to disappear into a wall, not to decorate it. It can be painted The defining feature of the whole PLASTRA family: once primed, the fitting takes ordinary wall paint. Painted the same colour as the wall it becomes practically invisible – only the light remains. It is the solution used in schemes where the fitting must not compete with the architecture: hallways, stairwells, living rooms in quiet colours. Light source The G9 (QT14) lampholder takes a halogen capsule or its LED retrofit equivalent of up to 42 W. No lamp is included. SLV recommends its own LED lamp 1005286 for this model (QT14 G9, 3.6 W, 3000 K, CRI 90, 300°) – a high colour rendering index matters here, because the light bounces off the wall and it is the wall's colour that shapes the impression. Installation The fitting is ready for direct connection to 230 V mains (220–240 V, 50/60 Hz) with no transformer. Class I means a protective earth is required. IP20 places it in dry interiors. Net weight is 1.066 kg – light for plaster, but the fixing should still suit the wall type. Character of the light The distribution is symmetrical and the emission direct-indirect: part of the flux goes straight up and down, part reflects off the wall. The effect therefore depends on the surface – on smooth pale plaster the light washes softly, on a textured finish it emphasises the texture.
