RAI is a LUMINES aluminium profile with a 23.8 × 21.8 mm section, designed to take two LED strips side by side. This article is the raw one-metre version — aluminium with no lacquer and no anodising, in the natural colour of the extrusion. Two strips instead of one The inner channel is 21.6 mm wide, which fits two strips of up to 10 mm each. That changes what the profile is for: double the output from a single run lets RAI serve as a room's main light rather than a decorative line. Raised side walls hold the strips deeper in the channel, so the light diffuses evenly and no individual LED dots show through the cover. The beam leaves perpendicular to the profile, and the manufacturer rates glare control as basic. What the raw finish means in practice A raw profile costs less than a lacquered or anodised one but carries no protective or decorative layer. It suits places where the profile disappears from view anyway — above a cabinet, in a recess, in a service ceiling — or where you intend to powder-coat or paint it to match the room. If the profile is to stay visible in its factory finish, the same series offers silver anodised (10-1794-10), white lacquered (10-1791-10) and black lacquered (10-1795-10). Mounting RAI mounts on the surface or hangs. The manufacturer allows five techniques: screws, double-sided tape, suspension wires, a hinge, and the dedicated RAI clip (white 13-1101-02, black 13-1142-02, silver 14-2028-88). The driver sits outside the profile. Sections in this series are not joined into longer runs with a connector — if you need more than a metre unbroken, take the 2.02 m or 3 m version, or order a custom length up to 6 m. The profile is not rated to be walked or driven over. Sealing and accessories The bare profile is IP20. The series is sealable, though: with the right cover and gaskets it reaches IP68, which opens up damp and outdoor use. No cover, end caps or LED strips are included — each is chosen separately. RAI takes COMPACT PC covers in the 1 m length: transparent (11-3500-10), milky (11-3501-10) and frosted (11-3502-10), plus silver anodised aluminium end caps with a hole (12-1985-11) or without (12-1985-10), and 2-in-1 ABS caps in white (12-1931-01), black (12-1932-01), grey (12-1934-01) and lacquered silver (12-1935-01).
