POLA is a Lucide wall light designed specifically for a child's room. The construction is plain: a round 12 cm wall base, a curved arm and a small tube shade – all in matt pink with a natural accent. The fitting is adjustable: the direction of light can be changed after installation, so it can be aimed at a book, at the wall or up at the ceiling depending on the time of day. How it connects This is the detail that separates POLA from an ordinary wall light, and the one worth checking before buying: the lamp has a cable with a plug (type C) and an in-cord switch. It needs no wiring box and no electrician – screw the base to the wall and put the plug in a socket. The cord switch is particularly practical in a child's room: no reaching for a wall switch beside the bed. The cable is 200 cm long with a pink fabric braid, so it does not stand out against the fitting. Lamp The E27 socket takes a bulb rated up to 60 W; no light source is supplied. The fitting is not dimmable, so a dimmable bulb will achieve nothing here – control is limited to the cord switch. For this model the manufacturer recommends its decorative G95 LED lamp, 4.9 W at 2200 K in amber glass (reference 49032/05/62), which with so small a shade stays partly visible and becomes a decorative element in itself. Build and dimensions The body is powder-coated metal in a matt finish, the shade synthetic. Overall dimensions are 12 × 15 × 22 cm, the shade alone 4.3 × 4.3 × 10 cm – so the fitting is small and will not dominate the wall above a bed or desk. At 0.35 kg it can be fixed to lighter walls too; installation materials are included. An IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors, electric class I. The manufacturer gives a 2-year warranty.
