DORIA is a bedside wall light from Italux, here in white. A rectangular plate measuring 13 × 18.5 cm sits against the wall, carrying an adjustable tube 2.5 cm across. The whole thing projects 10.5 cm from the wall and is made of aluminium. Two lights, two switches This is not an ordinary wall light with one bulb. DORIA has two independent light points, each with its own switch on the face of the plate. The first is a backlight around the edge of the plate — light escapes behind it and casts a soft halo on the wall, enough to move around without the dark, gentle enough not to wake whoever is asleep next to you. The second is the adjustable tube: a focused 45° beam that aims exactly at a book. Why two circuits beside a bed That split solves a specific problem in a shared bedroom. One person can read in a narrow pool of light while the rest of the room stays dark; or the other way round — the halo alone works as a night light without turning on the spot at all. Because the switches sit on the fitting itself, no separate control wiring is needed and nobody has to reach for the switch by the door. Light output The LED source is integrated and not replaceable. The fitting draws at most 8 W and gives 559 lm in a warm 3000 K, with a colour rendering index of CRI 80+. The warm tone is deliberate — beside a bed in the evening, cool light makes falling asleep harder. The fitting cannot be dimmed; choosing which of the two circuits to switch on takes the place of dimming. Build and variants The body is aluminium in a white finish. Supply is 220–240 V, the IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors, and the manufacturer gives a five-year warranty — longer than the category norm.
