NOA II is a slender floor lamp from the Spanish brand Mantra, designed by Carlos Santolaria. It stands 180 cm tall on a round base 28 cm across, and its stem divides into three sections: white at the bottom, wood-toned in the middle, white again at the top, where it ends in a flat, plate-like shade of the same 28 cm diameter. That one repeated figure — base and shade identically wide — gives the silhouette a calm most tall floor lamps do not have. It lights downwards, not the ceiling An important distinction at this height. The top surface of the shade is closed, and the light leaves as a ring from beneath its rim, through an acrylic diffuser. NOA II is therefore not an uplighter that brightens a room by bouncing off the ceiling — it lays light downwards, onto an armchair, a side table or a reading corner, creating a clearly defined zone rather than scattering light across the whole room. Placed beside a sofa it lights the seat; placed in the corner of a bare wall it will do very little. The manufacturer quotes 2800 lm, and measured across the full 360° — 3100 lm. A touch dimmer instead of a switch Control is by touch, directly on the fitting — there is no rocker switch on the cord and no need for a dimmer in the installation. It works well for a lamp standing beside a sofa, within arm's reach, and less well where the lamp would need switching from the door. The LED module itself is factory-fitted and supplied with the lamp, so nothing has to be bought alongside. The manufacturer writes the power as 15 + 15 W, i.e. 30 W in total — the fitting carries two LED modules. Worth noting a discrepancy in Mantra's own documentation: the catalogue title for this reference reads "21+9W", while the specification table, the product page URL and our record all agree on 15+15 W. We quote the table. Materials and finish — what that wooden section really is Mantra lists exactly two materials for NOA II: metal and acrylic. The finish is described as Blanco/Madera — white and wood. That means the middle section of the stem carries the colour and grain of wood, but the manufacturer does not declare solid timber and names no species. If you are looking for a lamp made of real wood, that is worth confirming with the seller before buying — we state exactly what Mantra publishes. The cord is 1.8 m long and black — the contrast against the white body will show on a pale floor, so plan a position close to a socket. The fitting is Class II (double insulated), so it needs no earth, and is rated IP20 — dry interiors only. Durability The manufacturer declares 30,000 hours of LED module life and 30,000 on/off cycles, and — importantly — the module is replaceable, so the end of the diodes' life does not mean discarding the whole lamp. It will not brighten the ceiling or the whole room — it defines a zone around itself. Control is by touch on the fitting only — it cannot be switched from a wall switch by the door without a separately switched socket. The height is fixed — 180 cm, no adjustment.
