The V-TAC VT-8071 touch switch is a small, white in-line controller for switching on, off and dimming single-colour LED strips powered by 12 V DC. The housing is a rectangular module with a touch pad marked with a power symbol, with a short cable exiting each side and terminating in DC connectors – a plug and a socket.Which strips it fitsThe switch runs on a 12 V DC input and handles a load of up to 24 W, which at this voltage equals a current of up to 2 A – a figure worth comparing against the per-metre power draw of the LED strip you connect, multiplied by its length.
