Paris 1495CS is an outdoor wall light shaped as a half-dome shade open at the bottom, in a corten steel colour. The shade covers the LED module from above and from the sides, so light leaves only downwards, along the wall. The manufacturer intends it for lighting facades and fences.The light it gives The luminaire puts out 628 lm at 3000 K - warm, yellowish light close to that of a classic incandescent bulb. Its photometric distribution is hemispherical and aimed downwards, and the ULOR figure is 0%: not a single lumen goes up, so the fitting lights the wall and the ground beneath it rather than the sky above the property. Paris dims on a trailing edge phase dimmer (TRIAC). The dimmer therefore has to be chosen for that control type; leading edge control is not provided for here. Colour rendering is Ra 80.Size and mounting The fitting sits within an envelope of 23 x 14 x 11,5 cm and weighs 0,79 kg - a figure to compare with the space left beside a door or on a fence post. The manufacturer states the mounting height its light distribution was calculated for: 2,5 m. It fixes to the wall through two oval holes 5 x 10 mm, 90 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 x 2,5 mm², and up to 3 x 1,5 mm² when further fittings are looped through. The EPDM gland is made for round cable 7 to 10,5 mm in diameter.Materials and operating conditions The body is hot-dip galvanised steel with a powder coat finish, and the cover is satin polycarbonate stabilised against UV - a plastic that yellows more slowly in sunlight than PC without that treatment. IP43 covers solid objects above 1 mm and water falling at up to 60° from vertical, which is rain; the fitting is not rated for a hose jet. The operating temperature range runs from -20 to +45 °C.Light source and servicing The LED module and the electronic driver are built in and supplied with the luminaire - nothing has to be bought separately. The manufacturer provides for replacing the module or the driver through professional service only, and issues separate service kits for them.
