Lillehammer DC2291BL is an outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, finished black, measuring 18.5 × 11 × 8 cm. It emits both ways – up and down – in a narrow 60° beam, drawing two characteristic cones of light on the façade. Two cones, not a patch In outdoor lighting that plays a different role from an ordinary shaded wall light. Instead of lifting the area in front of the house evenly, the fitting draws two symmetrical cones across the plane of the wall – one towards the eaves, one towards the ground. Their edges are soft, and a darker band remains between them at the height of the fitting itself. The effect is graphic, and that is the point: to emphasise the rhythm of a façade, an entrance or a pier, not to light the drive. The consequence is a ULOR of 50% – half the output goes upward. Worth remembering when mounting under an overhang or near upstairs windows: the upper cone always lights something, so the fitting belongs where it has wall above it rather than open sky. The light 7.27 W produces 216 lumens split across two directions. At 2700 K the colour is the warmest of the standard whites – closer to an incandescent bulb than to street lighting, and a good match for brick, timber and warm-toned render. CRI 80 is adequate outdoors, and SDCM 3 guarantees that several fittings set along one wall will share the same tint – with a repeating rhythm of cones a colour difference shows immediately. The fitting is dimmable. Durability IP65 means complete dust-tightness and protection against water jets from any direction; IK08 is resistance to a 5-joule impact, which matters concretely on a fitting mounted at hand height beside a door. The covers are optical glass rather than polycarbonate – glass does not yellow under UV, so the cones look the same years later as they did at the start. The body is a painted aluminium casting, sealed with a silicone gasket and an ozone- and frost-resistant EPDM gland. Life and installation Declared life is 52,330 hours, which at a typical three hours a day is around 47 years – in practice the LED will outlast everything else in the fitting.
