The V-TAC VT-44022 is a 20 W LED floodlight in a black aluminium housing measuring 116 × 106 × 25 mm. It gives neutral white 4000 K in a wide 110° beam, rated IP65. The flat, tablet-like body weighs only 0.21 kg. What a 110° beam is for One hundred and ten degrees is a very wide beam — this floodlight does not draw a streak on a wall, it washes the surface in front of it evenly. Mounted above a garage door it covers the whole driveway; on an outbuilding wall, the working area around it; under a terrace eave, its full width. For picking out an architectural detail, a 30–60° fitting is the better choice. Peak intensity is 563 cd, which against 1510 lm confirms the diffuse rather than concentrated character. Light quality — the full EPREL declaration The model is listed in the EU EPREL database under number 2323891, and its model identifier (23984) matches the article number. The values below are a declaration the manufacturer is legally answerable for — worth knowing, because several of them are markedly less favourable than on costlier fittings: CRI 80 with an R9 of 3. R9 describes the rendering of saturated red, and a value of 3 means reds will come out distinctly flat. For lighting a driveway or a facade that is irrelevant; for lighting planting, brick or timber it shows. Colour consistency 6 SDCM. Fit several units side by side and differences in tone may be visible, particularly against pale render. Flicker PstLM = 1.0 and stroboscopic effect SVM = 0.9. These are high figures: flicker sits at the edge of perceptibility, and a stroboscopic effect on moving objects is possible. In practice this is not the fitting for a workshop with rotating tools, or for anywhere video is recorded. Lumen maintenance factor 0.96 and zero standby consumption. One discrepancy worth noting: the EPREL registry and our product record both give 1510 lm, while the manufacturer's own product page states 1760 lm. We keep the registry value, since that is the legally binding declaration. Durability and operating range IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets — rain, snow and hosing down are no problem. The housing is all aluminium, which matters twice over here: it carries heat away from the diodes and it does not corrode. Do note the operating temperature range: −20 to +30 °C. The upper limit is low for an outdoor fitting — a sun-baked south wall can exceed it in summer. For that kind of position, choose a shaded or ventilated spot. The fitting is not dimmable; wiring it to a dimmer risks flicker or damage to the driver. It strikes instantly (0.001 s) with no warm-up, which matters on a motion sensor.
