Bazar Bizar teak root napkin ring natural 6x6x2 cm BASU608N

Name: Bazar Bizar teak root napkin ring natural 6x6x2 cm BASU608N
Brand: BAZAR BIZAR

A Bazar Bizar napkin ring made from solid **teak root** sourced in Indonesia. Squared on the outside, with a smoothly shaped round opening inside, 6 × 6 × 2 cm. Root, not plank The distinction matters and is why every piece looks different. The rings are cut from **teak root** — the part of the tree where the grain does not run parallel but twists and braids around itself. The figure is therefore denser and more irregular than in trunk timber, and the tone shifts from pale honey to dark brown within a single piece. Differences between items are not a fault but a consequence of the material: two identical root rings simply do not exist. A square outside, a circle inside The form is simple but considered: the **outer profile is squared**, so the ring sits on the table instead of rolling and brings one clear architectural edge into a soft composition of linen and porcelain. The **opening inside is round and smoothly finished**, so a napkin slides in without catching and no threads are pulled — with linen or cotton that is the difference between an accessory that gets used and one that stays in a drawer. Scale and use At 6 × 6 cm across and 2 cm thick, the ring takes a rolled fabric napkin of ordinary weight, including one folded double. It is not a decorative object in itself — it works only on a laid table, as the point that orders the setting and lifts it from everyday to prepared. The warm tone of the wood sits naturally with linen in undyed colours, with ceramics and with rattan; on an all-white or all-black setting it is the single note of colour. Care and notes The maker advises **wiping the surface with a soft cloth or a gentle brush**, without soaking — teak is naturally moisture-resistant thanks to its own oils, but immersion and the dishwasher strip that protective film. The rings are unlacquered, so over time they take on a deeper, darker tone, as any teak left in a natural finish does. The item is handmade from reclaimed material.
