NORLYS Ski 1391GA outdoor wall light, hot-dip galvanised, LED 3000 K, IP44

Name: NORLYS Ski 1391GA outdoor wall light, hot-dip galvanised, LED 3000 K, IP44
Brand: NORLYS

Ski 1391GA is an outdoor wall light by NORLYS shaped as a box with one sloping side: the front and the base are hot-dip galvanised steel, and the light leaves from underneath through a clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. Norlys describes this fitting as a wall luminaire and, at the same time, a 220–240 V electricity distributor intended for lighting private grounds.Size and wall mountingAccording to the manufacturer's drawing the luminaire is 20 cm wide, 13 cm high and 13.5 cm deep — a size to compare with the free space beside a door or between two windows. It is fixed to the wall through two ø4.2 mm holes spaced 122 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply cable should have a round sheath of 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor. The IP44 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction. What light it givesThe light source is a built-in LED module with an electronic driver, so there is no bulb to buy. The module is not replaced by the user — that is done by a person with the appropriate qualifications. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 renders colours correctly, which is typical of outdoor lighting. SDCM3 colour consistency means that several of these wall lights on one façade shine in practically the same shade of white. The distribution is diffuse, hemispherical and directed downwards: the luminaire lights the wall and the surface beneath it rather than throwing light far into the garden. It can be dimmed with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer, i.e. one that cuts off the end of each half-wave of the mains voltage. The manufacturer gives an operating range from −20 to +45 °C.Finish and where it fitsHot-dip zinc has a silvery-grey, uneven tone that turns duller over time. The plain, angular body without any ornament suits Scandinavian, minimalist architecture. The wall light works on a façade next to the front door, on a wall facing the garden, or by the entrance to a hotel or a restaurant.Εμφάνιση περισσότερων
